On the second floor of St. Rose de Lima Parish in Chicopee there is an office with a small sticker on the entrance that says "Office of Discernment". This former convent library, where Mother Theresa once stood, serves as a center for spiritual direction, vocations, and adult education, not only for the parish but for others outside the parish as well.
On any given day you will find Carol sitting there, on the phone encouraging donations for the local soup kitchen or planning adult education programs for the parish.
Certified in Spiritual Direction through Sacred Heart University's Religious Education and Pastoral Studies Program, Carol works with both Catholics and non Catholics alike, companioning them on their spiritual journeys.
Carol is a single mom who serves as Chairperson for the Bishop's Pastoral Council for the Diocese of Springfield MA., Pastoral Deanery Council Member, Co-Chair for Lorraine's Soup Kitchen Capital Campaign, and Board member, as well as serving in various advisory roles both in spiritual and financial developmental capacities.
